William D. Murray

Alphom Group founder, William D. Murray, retired from the Central Intelligence Agency in March 2005, after 40 years of distinguished military and civilian government experience. During his 36 years with the CIA, he rose to the highest levels of the Senior Executive Service, managing operations in varied foreign locations, frequently in times of war and civil strife. He speaks several languages which he has used all over the world.

While the main thrust of his career was the Middle East, Murray also served as the CIA’s field manager for operations in the Balkans and as the senior officer commanding one of the largest and most important facilities in Europe. He also managed several Washington based units at varying times and at increasing levels of complexity.

He was seconded in the U.S. Senate to assist in creating the Intelligence Reform Act of 2004, which resulted in the largest change in U.S. government structures since the end of World War II.

Murray has received numerous awards, including the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal.

His intent in forming Alphom Group LLC was to bring the discipline and understanding of foreign cultures—which characterized his professional career—to international and national business services, in order to provide the highest level of professional response to problem solving.

Tyler S. Drumheller

Tyler S. Drumheller retired in 2005 after 25 years with the CIA. He is the author of “On the Brink,” a memoir published by Avalon Books in 2006 that chronicles the war in Iraq and his battles with the Bush administration over the validity of the intelligence concerning Iraq’s possession of weapons of mass destruction.

Drumheller, who speaks several languages, was a highly successful senior operations and personnel manager with the CIA, handling complex situations in Europe and Africa.

As a former chief of one of the CIA’s six geographic divisions, he is experienced in security tools and techniques, telecommunications networks, operating systems and organizational security.

He is currently writing a book on the U.S. intelligence community in the age of international terrorism.

Paul J. Redmond

A Harvard graduate, Paul Redmond served in the clandestine service of the CIA from 1965 to 1998, working in Europe, Eastern Europe and East Asia.

At CIA headquarters, he supported espionage and counterintelligence operations against the Warsaw Pact, as Special Assistant to the Director of the CIA for Counterintelligence and Security, as well as in his position as Associate Deputy Operations Director for Counterintelligence.

Since retirement from the CIA in 1998, he has worked extensively as a consultant in the area of commercial counterespionage.

Redmond was retained by the House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to investigate counterintelligence issues at the Department of Energy nuclear weapons laboratories. He also served as the Director of the intelligence community damage assessment of the Robert Hanssen spy case.

He was Assistant Secretary for Information Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security and was a staff member of the Silberman/Robb Commission on Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Redmond was also a consultant to the National Counterintelligence Executive and recently to the Department of Homeland Security.

In 1994, he received the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, in 1995, The Federal Order of Merit from the President of Germany, and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal in 1999.

David W. Hunt

David W. Hunt is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces Colonel with extensive experience in counterterrorism, special operations and intelligence operations. He has been designated as a terrorism expert in federal court, a consequence of his testimony at many major terrorist trials.

Hunt has lectured at the CIA, the FBI, the NSA and Harvard University.

He is presently a senior research fellow at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government Hunt is also the author of the New York Times best-selling books, “They Just Don’t Get it” and “On the Hunt”.
